My Sons and Grandsons are Black Men!
This is truly a time of grief and sadness in the Black communities not only around the nation but around the world. The recent atrocities against Black men cannot continue and they cannot be ignored. My heart cries, literally cries for what is happening
in the United States of America.
It would truly be so easy to point fingers, make accusations and lay blame. That’s not what this post is for. What must be done is to stand together and everyone, with one voice, make a cry out or statement against these murders. We, you and I cannot remain silent! You cannot look in my Black face telling me that you love me, allow me to minister and speak blessings into your lives, knowing that I have Black sons and grandsons and not stand with me in love and support for their lives and well being! Please say something on your page to let it be known that you don’t support, agree with or will tolerate what is occurring in this nation.
I also know that when some say nothing it’s because they actually believe that it’s okay! There are those that believe that as long as it’s not you or yours, you're safe. If that’s you then you’re in for a very rude awakening. You don’t have to say a word, you don’t have to do a thing but I know that my God will. You can continue to hold on to your hatred and fears. You can remain the undercover racist that you are and think that your dirty hands and hateful hearts are not being judged by God! But as I read the 18th division of Psalms this morning I know without a doubt that God will move on my behalf and on behalf of the Black people in this nation! Psalm 18:3-4,6-7,17-18, 24-25,27-28,37,48 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
If I don't know anything else in this world and on this earth, I know without a shadow of a doubt that God hears my prayers! I know that He hears me when I pray and sees me when I cry! I know that my God not only hears me but He answers me through the very words in this Psalms. I can say this also without a doubt; if you fit into the category of those that are hateful, racist and willingly standing by saying nothing when others are being murdered then I'm glad I'm not you, because God willl surely, surely deal with you!
Finally let me say that I believe that there are some of my friends, true sisters and brothers in Christ who haven’t spoken out because quite honestly you don’t know what to say. I believe that many of you are just as hurt, confused and angry as I am but you've been left speechless. That’s alright and I do understand. But maybe you can just post a GIF, a tear or anything to show love and support and to say that you care. Please, your Black sisters, brothers, church members, co-workers, neighbors, classmates and all the rest need to hear something, anything from you. If you can't physically hug then send a hug but you can't remain silent so say something, please! This can be a time of divisiveness such as we have never seen before. The enemy would love nothing more than for race wars to break out. In recent years we have heard words of war coming out of the mouths of some that definitely do not speak for me. Don't allow this to happen so again, please, say something!
