Why People Hate Christians

Since the Bible has been in existence we as Christians have known that there would be a time of great uprising against the body of Christ.  Why would that be when we’re supposed to be so loving, kind and forgiving?  It’s because of the hypocrisy that’s so prevalent in the church today. How can we profess and teach one thing, be so firm and rigid about certain sins and yet be so willing to stand up and actually defend other blatant sins. It’s okay to commit adultery, to hate and lie but just don’t commit abortion.  Or better yet, be so resentful when someone calls out our own sin. As I always say, sin is sin.  There is no big or little sin but sin! Hell doesn’t have compartments, levels or sections for the big and little sins people commit.  According to Revelations 21:8, all liars along with everyone else, every other sinner will have their part in the lake of fire. And that’s what a hypocrite is, a liar. We can turn our backs on the sins of our children and loved ones, on the sins of certain politicians and even deny that they exist. But a lie is a lie no matter what excuse is made for it. A liar has no honor or integrity!

The Bible charges us to be people of integrity, honor and morals but it’s totally lacking in the church today! Throughout the Bible integrity is continually spoken of concerning people with honest sincere hearts. God spoke to Solomon telling him to walk before him with a faithful heart and uprightness as David his father had.  The Lord told Satan that Job was a man of integrity. And finally in Titus 2:6-8 NIV it reads:Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.  Jesus Himself was referred to as a man of integrity. And yet, it tears my very soul apart to see it so lacking in the Body of Christ. Do we really realize that God sees and knows everything that we think, know, say and do? Do we realize that we will stand in the judgement for these things?  I don’t think it bothers a lot of people because they have been able to justify their secret sins, hatreds and lying hearts with their own self righteousness.

When we as Christians want to stand, kneel, jump up and down and even lay on our faces in church, how does it look when we are willing to use all kinds of profanity, speak mean cruel words and even support someone else's sin and wrong doings? I have a serious problem with people who can have no problem with cursing someone out, using foul language and the excuse is it’s because someone made them mad. Or they just lost it for a minute but those minutes come 4 or 5 times a day.  It’s okay to not walk as a Christian when you’re on the job, at home or driving down the highway. Are you the one they’re talking about who shoots the bird at someone while driving and then when you pass them up they see your “I Love Jesus’ bumper sticker?  People are watching us as Christians and what they’re seeing on a daily basis is hypocrisy! Nobody likes a hypocrite and that’s exactly what many Christians have become. There are so many hypocrites in the world today but it’s not every hypocrite that professes Christianity.  That’s what makes the difference with so many. I posed the question at the beginning of this blog as to why would people want to kill Christians.  It’s because of the immorality, hypocrisy, hatred and deceit that’s coming out of the so-called body of Christ that incites hatred, not only for us as Christians but also for the God we serve as Christians. We as Christians have brought this resentment and hatred from others on ourselves by the phony lives we’re living before them.  Then we excuse our sin and hypocrisy by saying ‘I’m saved by grace’ or ‘I’m not perfect, just forgiven!’ Hypocrisy, total hypocrisy!

As a prophet I am allowed to see things that I truly wish I hadn’t. It’s so sad and unfortunate for us to speak and profess one life one day a week while living another the other 6 days.  This is why so many young people have left the church and are continuing to leave the church. This is why other religions and gods who are not truly gods are able to draw former Christians to false doctrines and beliefs. It’s not because of other religions having their freedom. It’s not because so many other religions are coming into this nation, it’s because we as Christians have not been real.  We have not been the people of morals, honor and integrity that we should have been and that we are called to be.  The hatred and disdain that others have for Christians isn’t about the competition with other religions, it's simply about Christians allowing Christianity to be seen as a religion of liars, haters, deceivers and hypocrites.  SELAH!
